Japanese Spikenard:

Native to woodlands of Japan, this is a fast growing herbaceous plant with 3'leaves. When they are new shoots, the young leaves are a culinary treat, savored by Japanese and is part of their seasonal cuisine, often tempura-fried. Young shoots are eaten like asparagus

It may die back over winter but will come back. White flowers in spring followed by jewel-like berries in fall, good for birds, but people cannot eat them.
